In late August 2017, and early September 2017, Tropical Storm Harvey left a path of destruction across Hardin County

  • Flooded over 5,000 homes and displaced individuals and families

  • Approximately 2,000 homes received major damage or were destroyed

  • Less than 13% of our impacted community carried flood insurance coverage

  • Hardin County is a small, underserved county in the TOP 10 most impacted, presidentially declared counties in Texas

Hardin County Strong was formed to help individuals and families recover from disaster-related events, and partners with individuals and organizations who can assist with money, manpower and materials

if you need help and we'll walk you through the process of recovery

 Support HCS!

We are looking for volunteers to assist with repairs, or to serve on HCS committees. If you would like to be a part of the recovery of Hardin County, please click here to be directed to our volunteer page.
